Get Organized in 2011!

I don’t know about you, but I need a bit of organization to start the year out right! There is so much going on that I want a plan in place to accomplish it all. Here’s what I’m going to do to get it all together in 2011 – in no particular order:

  • Stock up on cards now for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Yes, you read it correctly – I still send cards via first class mail! Someone has to keep the US Post Office in business!
  • Block out time on my calendar every day specifically to check emails, social media accounts and return phone calls. Too often my work gets interrupted by emails (I’m learning to keep Outlook shut down until I’m ready to do emails) and checking social media accounts. I’ll get much more accomplished if I just set aside time for those activities.
  • Set aside uninterrupted time each day – at least 2 – 3 hours – to work on projects, such as the books I’m writing and for writing blog posts.
  • Continue to network! I belong to a variety of network groups and find the connections so valuable.
  • More exercise! While I love hiking, bicycling and kayaking; I’m not doing as much of it as I’d like; especially in this colder weather. However – I do love hiking even in the winter months and it’s time to start off the New Year with some hiking. Weekends must be set aside for time with hubby to be outdoors.

I did a decent job keeping my resolutions I made in 2009 for 2010; let’s see how well I do for 2011! Wish me luck. And you? What are your plans for 2011? What would you like to accomplish? Please share in the Comments field below!
