Hi David,

I like your addition to the list! I might also add:

ESP - there are some times when you just wish you knew what everyone was thinking because you are not getting all the information you need!

Thanks again!

Best,
Gina

I'd add: Yoga. Being a leader involves being very flexible with the needs and demands of followers and clients. Blessed are the flexible.

Yes, Gina. This is something you and I have shared info on before! I think it's especially important in today's economy.

Regards,

Hi Laura,

Thanks for reading! So you are saying that a key component of effective leadership is tying projects to the company's long-term strategic goal and ensuring there is a well thought-out plan in place so that the projects that are selected are the right ones, done by the right people, at the right time.

Best,
Gina

Don't let a dangling carrot of money make you a poor decision-maker when it comes to projects. If you sell something without realizing that you'll lose money in the long run (when the project is over) because you don't have properly qualified staff, you're making a terrible mistake. The chances of problems cropping up during the project are significant - so much so that it can affect your credibility with the client as well as the staff.
